Product Description

1. Description

JW-NON-406(K15) online nitrate nitrogen sensor is designed for continuous nitrate ion monitoring in water treatment, aquaculture, environmental water quality, wastewater discharge, and industrial process water applications. It uses a PVC membrane nitrate ion selective electrode with automatic temperature compensation to provide fast, simple, accurate, and cost-effective nitrate nitrogen measurement.

2. Product Overview

JW-NON-406(K15) nitrate nitrogen sensor is an integrated online water quality sensor for measuring nitrate ion concentration in water. It is suitable for applications where nitrate nitrogen levels must be monitored continuously, such as municipal wastewater treatment, aquaculture water quality management, agricultural runoff monitoring, river and lake monitoring, industrial discharge control, and smart environmental monitoring systems.

The sensor uses a PVC membrane nitrate ion selective electrode and includes automatic temperature compensation to support stable readings in changing water conditions. With RS485 Modbus RTU digital communication, the sensor can be connected directly to PLC systems, DCS systems, industrial computers, universal controllers, paperless recorders, touchscreen HMIs, RTUs, IoT gateways, and cloud-based water quality platforms.

Its IP68 waterproof design, 3/4 NPT threaded structure, and replaceable membrane cap make it practical for long-term deployment in field and industrial water monitoring projects.

4. Installation Notes

The nitrate nitrogen sensor supports immersion installation and can also be mounted in tanks or pipelines using its 3/4 NPT threaded structure. According to the installation diagram in the manual, the sensor must not be installed upside down or horizontally. It should be installed at an inclination angle of at least 15 degrees to ensure stable measurement performance.

For long-term use in water, seawater, or humid outdoor environments, all wiring joints should be waterproofed, and the user-side cable should have corrosion-resistant protection.

5. Maintenance Guide

Before use, the electrode should be soaked in tap water for 24 hours. The electrode should be cleaned with distilled or deionized water and dried gently without wiping the sensing membrane aggressively. If the PVC membrane becomes translucent or covered with deposits after long-term use, rinse it with distilled or deionized water. If calibration and measurement cannot be restored after maintenance, the electrode should be replaced.
